Some of the countries listed here could have been placed under Europe but for reason of convenience we have included them in the Asian continents wine regions.

Asia is the largest continent and also the most populous with approximately 4 billion people. Almost 60% of this population lives in two countries, China and India.

There are over 50 countries and a good third of theses countries produce wines. China is the largest wine producer in Asia. In 2009 it was ranked six among the worlds wine producers.
