North American Wines

Wine producing countries in North America include the United States, Canada, Mexico and also two of Central America's countries. There is not much information on commercial wineries in the Central American region, but for the countries of Cuba and Panama.

Map of North America

Cuba and Panama produce mainly fruit wines from pineapples and mangos. However, in Cuba, The Bodegas San Cristobal produces red, white and pink wines from grapes. They planted genetically modified vines to adjust them to the tropical heat. Bodegas del Caribe, another Cuban winery located in La Habana province, planted a variety of Spanish grapes adapting them to the climate and soil conditions of the Cuban Island.

Canada, Mexico and the United States offer a variety of wines made of grapes and fruits with the associated tours and tasting and festivals to celebrate the local wines. You will also find the occasional Meadery and Sake producer.
