Finland is located in Northern Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea, the Gulf of Bothnia and the Gulf of Finland and shares borders with Sweden and Russia. Finland covers a total area of 338,145 sq km and has an approx population of 5,259,250.
Helsinki is the capital.

Finland has a cold temperate climate, potentially sub-arctic but comparatively mild because of moderating influence of the North Atlantic Current, Baltic Sea, and more than 60,000 lakes.
