Map of Coastal Wine Regions

The Coastal Region is an important South African wine growing area.

The Coastal Region has seven districts defined in terms of the Wine of Origin (WO) scheme: Cape Point, Darling, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Swartland, Tulbagh, and Tygerberg.


Wine Regions

Cape Point District: There are no wards within the Cape Point district.

Darling District: There is one ward located within the Darling district. Groenekloof.

Paarl District: There are four wards in the Paarl District: Franschhoek Valley, Simonsberg-Paarl, Voor Paardeberg, and Wellington

Stellenbosch District: Stellenbosch districts has seven wards. Banghoek, Bottelary, Devon Valley, Jonkershoek Valley, Papegaaiberg, Polkadraai Hills, and Simonsberg-Stellenbosch

Swartland District: There are two wards within the Swartland district: Riebeekberg and Malmesbury

Tulbagh District: There are no wards within the Tulbagh district.

Tygerberg: There are two wards in the Tygerberg district: Durbanville and Philadelphia.
