California: North Coast Wine Regions

The North Coast includes Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino and Lake Counties. Still looking for a winery located in Del Norte County but the other three counties of the Noth Coast wine region have over 170 wineries between them. Mendocino has the most with 110 +.

American Viticultural Areas (AVA)

There are seventeen approved American Viticultural Areas in the North Coast wine region. All but the Willow Creek, Covelo , and Dos Rios AVA's fall with in the large North Coast AVA.

Humboldt: Willow Creek AVA
Lake: Benmore Valley AVA, Clear Lake AVA, Guenoc Valley AVA, High Valley AVA, North Coast AVA and Red Hills Lake County AVA.
Mendocino : Anderson Valley AVA, Cole Ranch AVA, Covelo AVA, Dos Rios AVA, McDowell Valley AVA, Mendocino AVA, Mendocino Ridge AVA, North Coast AVA, Potter Valley AVA, Redwood Valley AVA and Yorkville Highlands AVA.
