Louisiana has been divided into five regions. Cajun Country, Crossroads, Greater New Orleans, Plantation Country, and Sportsman's Paradise. Most of Louisiana'a wineries are located within the Plantation Country region.
Louisiana has one approved American Viticultural Area: Mississippi Delta AVA The Mississippi Delta viticultural area is located in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee. There are no wineries located in the Louisiana part of this AVA.
